Being in Miami where it’s already been a mix of scorching hot days, torrential downpours, and humidity so thick you can slice it with a knife; leaves little excitement for the official first day of Summer this Monday.
Kicking it off with my travel plans to Curaçao next weekend, here are 5 of my absolute must-haves!
#1 & 2 – Sunnies & Sandals
Although these items are pretty obvious because you need to avoid the dreaded squinty eye while showing off your freshly pedicured piggies. Summer is a great time to experiment with funky colors & styles. Pictured above are two of my favorites:
Sunnies – “Geek Chic” from PERVERSE sunglasses, an LA brand which I discovered at their Coachella pop-up this year and have been in love with ever since. They look amazing, are popular amongst A-list celebs and are fairly inexpensive!
Sandals– These are the “Ashtyn” by Dolce Vita (which happens to be one of my favorite brands for sandals) comes in a variety of color combinations. What I love about them is that they are so versatile and chic you can pair them with anything ranging from work to play.
#3 – Vino2Go Tumbler
For those times when they say you aren’t allowed to have glass by the pool or on the beach but you don’t want to drink wine out of a solo cup or have sand, bugs, or chlorine get in there. The great news is they now also have an XL version and a Brew2Go tumbler for beer lovers.
Last summer I swore by the Evian Mineral Water Spray but this product by Elemis definitely takes the cake! Normally you would apply a toner after you wash your face but I spray this throughout the day as a quick refresh from being in the sun. It smells great, doesn’t have any alcohol or harsh ingredients and leaves your skin fresh and glowing!
#5 – Action Cam
Who doesn’t want to have the dopest underwater photos/videos? I have the 12MP Vivitar 794HD which cost me significantly less than a GoPro plus all the accessories and definitely does the job for my needs.
