Summer in Miami: 5 Activities to keep you cool

July 20, 2017

Summer in Miami equals bipolar weather vibes tied in with burns from your seatbelt buckle. Since going into hibernation until it’s “nice out again” isn’t an option here are 5 activities to keep you cool this season.

The Beach

Way to state the obvious right? However, it’s a luxury most of us don’t take advantage of throughout the year. If you’re looking to just layout and relax head over to Key Biscayne, North Beach, & Hollywood Beach for less touristy beaches. All three have a number of restaurants that won’t cost you $25+ for a cocktail and other amenities on-site.

Venetian Pool

If sand isn’t your thing cool off at this beautiful historic freshwater pool located in Coral Gables. Arrive early as there is limited parking and they stop selling tickets ($15-20pp) once they are at max capacity.

Frost Science Museum

Move over PAMM there’s a hip new museum in town and it’s right next door!  The Frost Science Museum features a number of interactive exhibits, 3-level aquarium, planetarium and more.  Ticket prices range from $20-28 and also include your choice of one Frost Planetarium show.

Miami Spa Month

With all the hard work you’ve done this year, some much-deserved self-care is in order. There are still 6 weeks to indulge in the perks of Miami Spa Month.  Check out some of my favorites here.

Miami Spice

Miami Spice is back and better than ever this summer. Starting August 1st you’ll have the option to enjoy curated pre-fixe menus for lunch, dinner, and now BRUNCH (*insert yass IG emoji* ) at Miami’s top restaurants until the end of September. Be sure to make reservations in advance and take a look at the list of participating restaurants here.

What are some activities you have planned for the rest of the summer? Let me know in the comments.

xo Sincerely Shanti
