Tequila + Limes = Margarita Time

 This may just be the best week ever! Being the only time of year you can celebrate Margarita Monday, Taco Tuesday & Cinco de Mayo all in one week, I’m sharing how to take your taco party to another level!  Impress your friends by skipping the sugary store-bought margarita mix and play bartender with this margarita recipe.

What You’ll Need:

Cocktail Shaker or Mason Jar

Margarita or Rocks Glass

Jigger or Cough Syrup Cup

Kosher salt or coarsely ground sea salt or Sugar

2 oz  Silver Tequila (I used Camarena)

1 Small Lime

0.5 oz  Organic Agave Nectar

0.5 oz  of Triple Sec

What to Do:

1. Get the messy part out of the way! Put a layer of salt or sugar onto a small plate and cut your lime into 6 wedges. With one wedge cut a small slice in the middle, slightly peel back and use to rim your glass with lime juice. Then take your glass and tap around the plate of salt or sugar to cover the rim and set aside.

2.  Measure the ingredients and fill shaker/mason jar with tequila, agave nectar, and triple sec. Squeeze the remaining 5 wedges into your shaker/mason jar and add ice.

3.  Shake your mixture about 15-20 times and pour straight into your glass or over ice. Take the lime wedge we used to rim the glass and add as garnish.

4. Enjoy your margarita!

Plain margaritas, not your thing? Not to worry, muddle in your favorite fruit like strawberries or spice like jalapenos into your shaker/mason jar prior to adding the mix.
