Congrats, you’ve made it through the brutal summer heat! Even though in South Florida it’s only about 3 degrees cooler than before, it’s time to bring out the Pumpkin flavored everything and maybe have a legit attempt to order a hot beverage from Starbucks as we prepare for the infamous Florida winter (it was like 61 last year, don’t judge us).
With the change of weather, it’s time for all the single ladies & gents to face cuffing season yet again. Personally, I’ve only been through it once and epically failed so I’m grateful that it hopefully won’t be something I’ll ever have to experience again. So whether you’ve been in a relationship for a while or are testing the waters for a new boo, here’s 3 fun date ideas around South Florida for the fall.
#1 ) Outdoor Movie Night
A classic date idea with a romantic twist. Grab your blankets, some snacks, and your insect repellent and head down to the New World Symphony in Miami Beach every Wednesday at 8 PM to enjoy movies in the park. South Beach not your scene? Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails in Hallandale has Movie nights every Thursday down in the sand at 8:30 PM where you can indulge in free popcorn and order light bites & cocktails from the bar. The best part about these both there’s no cover/ticket charge! However, if Zika has you staying away from the outdoors a great alternative would be iPic Theaters in Boca/North Miami Beach or Cinebistro near Dolphin Mall.
#2) Arts & Crafts
Raise a glass, unwind, and show bae your creative side at a BYOB painting class. Feeling like your artistic abilities are on Picasso’s level? Skip out on the wine and try your hand at glass blowing or pottery. There are a number of studios that offer these different classes; which is great so you probably won’t have to travel far and there are some great deals on Groupon, LivingSocial, etc.
#3) Schnebly Winery
Day dates are my favorite & Schnebly’s Winery in the Redlands is the perfect place for it! Start off with Brunch in the restaurant and then be sure to do the tour and wine tasting. For my beer aficionados they recently just added a brewery in the back which has fun games like corn hole and bbq food. The tour includes both areas however you will need to purchase the various tastings (wine, sparkling/dessert, or beer). If you’re in Broward and would much prefer to drive north check out Sons & Daughter’s Farm & Winery.
Hope everyone has fun and feel free to share some of your favorite date ideas in the comments below!
xo Sincerely Shanti
